Christmas has well and truly started in one market town.
On Sunday, Needham Market was the host for visitors coming to see its Christmas Tree Festival and Christmas Street Fayre.
The festival, held at Christchurch, raised more than £1,000 for charity through donations.
Sheila Norris, organiser of the festival, said: “It’s gone well, we had a nice steady flow of people round enjoying the magic. We had 24 trees and had a lot of local organisations involved – schools and businesses – who decorated a tree.
“We do not charge for entry which we are proud of.”
This year the event was raising money for two charities: Prison Fellowship and Possibilities, which supports Ugandan children.
On the day the street fayre was also held, with stalls in the streets and businesses opening specially for the event.
