Trains running to and from Liverpool Street have been delayed this morning because of a signal fault.

The problem, which has now been fixed, was in the Kelvedon area and meant all trains were having to run at a reduced speed through the affected location.

Network Rail engineers were dispatched to the site and have now rectified the fault.

Greater Anglia is advising passengers there are still delays of around six minutes to some trains because of the issue.

This is now expected to last until around 8am.

Additionally the 6.39am Ipswich to Norwich service was delayed at Stowmarket because of a disruptive passenger, with the police having to be called to deal with the situation.
