Archant

New figures suggest that fewer people are using Suffolk’s Libraries than four years ago. Do you visit your local library?

For many people visiting the library was an important part of their childhood but now it seems that fewer and fewer people are making the trip down to their local library.

Figures released by Suffolk County Council under a Freedom of Information request suggest that footfall at Suffolk’s libraries dropped in 2017/8 by almost 50,000 when compared to 2014/5.

Some libraries have managed to buck the trend such as Stradbroke and Newmarket which have both seen increases.
