The crowds were out in force for a town's Christmas street market.

There were more than 40 stalls at the Stowmarket event, held on Saturday.

David Marsh, events and theatre manager for Stowmarket Town Council, which organises the market, said: “We were very pleased.

“You can judge these events by how well the traders and shops say they’ve done and they had done fantastically well.”

Among the attractions were a snow globe and bouncy castle.
