Police issue reminder of festive front-desk opening times for Suffolk police stations

Suffolk police is issuing a reminder of its front-desk opening hours over Christmas and New Year.

Ipswich, Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds

Open every day from 8am-8pm; except the following:

Thursday 25 December: Closed

Friday 26 December: 9am-5pm

Thursday 1 January: 9am-5pm

Beccles, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Halesworth, Haverhill, Leiston, Sudbury, Mildenhall, Newmarket and Stowmarket

Open every day from 9am – 5pm; except the following:

Thursday 25 December: Closed

Friday 26 December: Closed

Thursday 1 January: Closed

Newmarket will also be closed on Christmas Eve.

Brandon, Capel St Mary, Eye, Hadleigh and Ixworth do not open at the weekends and will be keeping to their usual opening hours with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, when they will be closed.

Officers will continue patrolling the roads and streets throughout the day and night. Anyone who requires police assistance is urged to call 101, or 999 in an emergency where a crime is in progress, property is being damaged or someone’s life is at threat.

People can summon help using the 24-hour intercom outside every police station.

  • It is several weeks since the fire at Kesgrave but still no sign of anything happening or a reopening date. What was the cause and when will it be fixed? Two weeks was mentioned at the time, when will the two weeks start?
