An open evening is to be held to celebrate the life and times of a Suffolk school.
On Friday, May 22, between 5pm and 7pm, Stowmarket Middle School will be open for friends, past and present before the doors are closed for the final time in July.
Officials are planning a number of events to allow pupils, parents, staff and other interested parties to enjoy the working life of the school, including a museum of artefacts, photographs and memorabilia.
The school has also created a commemorative book celebrating the school, where thousands of pupils were taught at. The book, consisting of 36 pages of photos from the archives, uses articles to bring the school’s history to life.
The book also features buildings, past and present, famous pupils, and special arts and sports moments.
For more information on the book, or the open evening, call the school on 01449 742510.
