Festive fun was the order of the day for more than 50 pre-school children at their Christmas party.

The children at Cedars Park Pre-school party, in Stowmarket, were even paid a visit by Santa Claus during the two-hour event.

Michelle Baker, the pre-school’s manager, said: “All the children got very excited – they definitely enjoyed it. There was music, party games and balloon modelling from Mr Bean Entertainments.

Children were given an individual snack box which they enjoyed.

The party was supported by the Friends of Cedars Park Pre-school.”

Meanwhile, youngsters from Trinity Primary School, in Lavenham Way, Combs, have taken part in their first nativity.

Trinity opened as Stowmarket’s first church school in September this year with reception aged children.

Head teacher Linda Curran-Spain said: “Our first nativity is another in a long line of newly established traditions in our school.”

And children from Combs Ford Primary have also taken part in their nativity.

Head of reception Jane Harvey, said the two performances “went very well”.

She added: “The parents came along and certainly did enjoy it.”

Parents were also told about
the school’s drive to raise money
for a toilet-twinning project in Africa.
