A newspaper boss is set to stand trial after denying charges of assault and controlling behaviour.
Alan Taylor, 53, of Wimpole Drive, King's Lynn, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman on October 29, when he appeared before Lynn magistrates on Thursday.
Taylor also pleaded not guilty to engaging in behaviour which was controlling and coercive towards her between January 1, 2020, and October 29, 2023.
Magistrates adjourned the trial until December 5 and December 9, when it will be heard before Great Yarmouth magistrates.
Taylor, who is managing director of Your Local Paper and the Lynn News, was bailed on condition he does not contact the woman except through a third party for specific arrangements. He was also bailed not to attend certain addresses in the town.
