Drivers are being warned of a 50-mile diversion route while emergency roadworks are carried out.
The A1120 in Pettaugh near Needham Market just off the A140 will be closed from 7.30pm on Friday until 5am on Saturday.
While the road is closed, Suffolk Highways will be carrying out emergency works.

According to Suffolk County Council, the official diversion route is 50 miles long.
The diversion route is long as it takes drivers along A roads because some vehicles like HGVs cannot go down smaller roads that others would use as shortcuts.
Drivers will be diverted along the A140, A14, A12 and then back onto the A1120 and vice versa.
