Traffic is at a standstill on a stretch of the A14.
Pictures show long queues of traffic in the roadworks near Stowmarket heading westbound towards Woolpit.
It is not yet known what is causing the delays.
The AA live map shows traffic is queuing back to junction 50.
Suffolk police have been contacted for more information.
