The A14 in parts of Suffolk has seen huge floods due to the weather brought by Storm Ciarán. 

Heavy rainfall and high winds have battered the county overnight, leaving roads impassable as a result of fallen trees and flooding. 

The A14 was closed westbound near the Woolpit roadworks on Thursday due to heavy flooding.

Video footage shows the flood water stretching across the carriageway, with drivers attempting to make their way through slowly. 

National Highways has advised that diversion routes are in place. 

Suffolk Highways has told motorists to drive to the conditions.

There are further traffic issues in Ipswich due to the closing of the Orwell Bridge. 

Suffolk Highways has reported trees down in the carriageways along Mouse Lane in Rougham, and Newbourne Road, in Brightwell.

Flooding is also reported along the A140 at Brockford Street.
