Is there anything better than enjoying your favourite drink while singing along to some classic songs in your most-loved pub?

Pubs are often the best place to see your favourite band or an up and coming artist, such as a young Ed Sheeran.

Here are five of the best pubs to go to in Suffolk if you enjoy some live music with your mates. 

The White Horse, Sudbury 

The North Street pub regularly has live bands entertaining large crowds on Saturday nights.

The pub has a variety of bands each week at the Sudbury pub so there is always something for everyone. 

The bar also serves a selection of ales, largers, wines and spirits to enjoy throughout the night. 

The Spread Eagle, Ipswich 

Claiming to be Ipswich's oldest pub, The Spread Eagle holds regular gigs – recently hosting popular local band the Lockerbies.

The pub is normally very busy on nights when live music is playing so it's best to get in early. 

The Belstead Arms

Located in the west of Ipswich, The Belstead Arms is a hub for the local community, offering lots of events, as well as fairly priced food and drinks.

The pub warns that their band days are popular and that since they are not ticketed events they can fill up fast.

The Grapes, Bury St Edmunds 

This Greene King pub is a great place to get your live music fix as it regulary hosts bands and singers.

In the coming weeks an Elvis tribute act will be entertaining punters in the pub. 

The Pickerel Inn, Stowmarket 

One of the most popular pubs for live music in Stowmarket, The Pickerel Inn regulary hosts bands. 

With live music every Friday and Saturday of March, the pub really does have something for everyone.
