Delays for commuters travelling through Colchester and Manningtree
Rail services travelling through Manningtree and Colchester are subject to delays due to a concrete block on the line.
A Greater Anglia spokesman said following safety checks, trains were now running through the affected area but passengers would still experience residual delays.
The 7pm service from London Liverpool Street to Norwich has been cancelled due to the train hitting the concrete block on its southbound journey to London.
