The seaside is coming to a mid Suffolk town later this year.
Stowmarket Town Council will be holding the annual beach party on September 5 at the Recreation Ground – and there will even be an open air screening of the Disney film Frozen.
The event, between 2pm and 9.45pm, is free, and will feature live music, donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows and a giant sandpit.
Following the success of last year’s ‘Golden Mile’ race, organised with the Stowmarket Striders, it will be returning in 2015. The town council is working with charity Trust Maria at the event, which was set up in memory of Maria Mcsloy, and raises funds to provide specialist equipment and facilities for local hospices.
There are also free pitches for other charities who can raise funds at the event.
Those interested should email sianc@stowmarket.org
