Children at a Stowmarket primary school will now stand out on school trips following the donation of 100 high-visibility vests from a local company.
Pupils at Chilton Community Primary School, in Violet Hill Road, received the safety vests from Bacton Transport, who brought one of the company’s vehicles along to mark the presentation.
The vests, which are in a range of sizes to suit all ages, include the name and number of the school on the reverse to make them easily recognisable by teachers, parents and members of the public.
Lauren Stevens, parent governor, said: “The vests will be so useful on school trips and any outings where the children are taken off-site.
“We thought it would be a great way for a local company to help the school and Bacton Transport kindly offered to source the vests on our behalf.”
Charles Downie, Bacton Transport owner, said: “We are absolutely delighted to support the school. We have been in Stowmarket for 35 years and the local community is important to us.”
