The count down to Christmas has begun, with residents across Suffolk preparing for various Christmas lights switch on events.

Sudbury Christmas light switch on

Friday, November 24

The Christmas fair and light switch on starts at 5pm on November 24.

The Christmas lights will be switched on by the mayor and the Christmas card competition winner.

There will be a Santa’s Grotto, a synthetic ice skating rink, an inflatable bouncy Christmas pudding and lots more.

There will be a wide range of stalls both inside St Peter’s Church and outside in North Street and Market Hill.

The Stowmarket switch on starts at 6pm on November 24.

The lights will be switched on by Britain’s Got Talent star Matt Edwards.

There will be stalls throughout the town, the chance to meet Father Christmas and live bands.

It will also be a great chance to do your Christmas shopping as shops will stay open late.

Head to Beccles town centre at 5.30pm to enjoy an evening of festivities.

The evening will be packed of local acts, stalls and entertainment throughout the town.

There will also be a new trail throughout the town so keep an eye on social media for more details.

Framlingham Christmas lights switch on

Saturday, November 25

Framlingham will be holding a celebration to officially switch on the Christmas lights.

Head down and join in with the singing and traditional celebration.

The event will be on Market Hill and will run from 5pm to 6pm.

The winner of the festive window competition will also be announced.

The Christmas lights in Eye will be switched on December 1.

It will take place in the town centre at 6pm.

Park Radio will be on site to provide entertainment.

Felixstowe Christmas lights switch on

This year the official Christmas lights switch on and craft market starts at 5pm.

The lights will be switched on by the Mayor of Felixstowe.

There will be a range of gift, food and charity stalls, a Santa’s Grotto and carol singing.

There will also be an ice rink, so get your skates ready!

The three-week long Clare Winter Festival starts on Friday, November 24.

During these three weeks there will be a Christmas fair, a Christmas market and the Christmas light switch on.

The lights will get switched on Saturday, December 2 and on the same day there will be a Christmas craft fair in the town hall.
