The Skulduggery in Stowmarket crime fiction festival returns later this month featuring famous authors like L. C. North and Tim Sullivan.

Tim Sullivan has several screenwriting credits to his name including Letters to Juliet and episodes of Coronation Street, as well as being a well-respected author of the Detective Sergeant George Cross series.

Now in its sixth year, the crime fiction festival will offer a full day of literary delights on April 27 at Stowmarket Library.

Jane Pattle, chair of the Stowmarket Library Friends group and the organising committee for the event, said: "The Skulduggery organising committee are really excited about our sixth festival.

“We have a managed to get together a terrific line-up this year with an interesting mix of established best-sellers like, Vaseem Khan, Tim Sullivan, Olivia Kiernan and SJI Holliday as well as exciting local talent in L C North and James Henry. It promises to be an entertaining and fascinating day."

Susi Holliday is the author of the Banktoun trilogy and the Trans-Siberian railway thriller Violet, currently being adapted for film, while James Henry wrote the DI Nick Lowry series which is set in Essex.

Other speakers at the event include Lauren North (The Ugly Truth and Clickbait); Vaseem Khan (Chair of the Crime Writer’s Association and author of the Baby Ganesh Agency series and the Malabar House); and Olivia Kiernan (the Frankie Sheehan series, which has been optioned for TV).
