A 26-year-old woman from Stowmarket has been banned from the roads after she admitted being over the drink drive limit.

Harriet Boswell, of Drake Close in the mid Suffolk town, appeared before Lincoln Magistrates' Court in Lincolnshire on Thursday, March 21.

She was charged with driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit.

According to a court listing, Boswell's Mazda 2 stopped on the A17 at Cranwell, near Sleaford in Lincolnshire, on Saturday, March 2.

The listing said she had 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit in England is 35mcg per 100ml of breath.

Boswell admitted the offence and was told by magistrates to pay a fine of £415, as well as costs of £85 and a surcharge of £166 – meaning she will have to pay out a total of £666.

She was also disqualified from driving for a period of 17 months, though this ban can be reduced by 17 weeks upon the successful completion of a course.
