Mystery surrounds the reasons why a Suffolk high school is still waiting for its latest Ofsted report, six months after it was inspected.
Stowupland High School, near Stowmarket, was inspected in January, just after the term resumed after the Christmas break.
With just a few weeks of the academic year left, the school is still waiting on its Ofsted report to be made public.
The school was last visited in 2019 where inspectors rated it as Requires Improvement.
Ofsted reports are normally made public within 38 working days of the end of the inspection, according to the website.
A spokesperson for Stowupland High School said: "We can confirm Stowupland High School was inspected by Ofsted in January.
"The report remains with Ofsted at this time and we are awaiting further information.
"We have kept parents and carers informed of the situation as far as the process allows and will continue to do so.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further until the report has been published."
This delay has caused concern for parents, with one claiming the process was "opaque" and a "concerning development."
There are some exceptions as to why a report isn’t published within 38 working days.
The most common of these is if a complaint has been made on the report by the school, meaning the publication of the report will be delayed until the complaint has been investigated.
When contacted for comment, Ofsted confirmed they inspected the school and that the report will be published in due course, but did not say the reason behind the delay.
The final publication and outcome of the report are not yet known.
