A number of Suffolk's schools will be partially closed today due to a second round of teacher strikes.

Teachers who part of the National Education Union (NEU) walked out last month over a dispute of pay

Most of Suffolk's schools will remain open to Year 11 students with other year's asked to work from home with online study.

Interim headteacher at Ipswich Academy Samuel Fox said: "The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the union and the government over teachers’ pay, and not because of any issues at our school."

Here is a list of schools that are partially closed today:

  • Ipswich Academy
  • Stowmarket High School
  • St Benedict's Catholic School, Bury St Edmunds
  • St Edmund's Catholic Primary School, Bury St Edmunds
  • Abbots Green Academy, Bury St Edmunds
  • Bacton Primary School, Bacton
  • Mendlesham Primary School, Mendlesham
  • Thurston Community College, Thurston

This list will be added to throughout the morning as we get more information of school closures.
