Five fire engines were called to a house fire in north Suffolk this morning.
The roof blaze at the property in Church Meadow, off Hinderclay Road, was reported to the fire service at 8.39am.
The fire had been put out and brought under control by 9.29am.
There were no injuries and no-one was trapped, a Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said.
She said the occupants reported the fire and got out of the property safely before crews arrived.
The extent of the damage is not fully known but the fire did not spread to any other parts of the property or any neighbouring houses, the fire brigade spokesman said.
“It was under control quite quickly,” she said.
It was not clear what type of property was involved in the incident but it did not have a thatched roof, she said.
An investigation into the cause is now set to take place.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said they were not made aware of the incident.
The ambulance service was also not called.
The fire engines attended from Diss (two), Bury St Edmunds, Ixworth, and Elmswell.
