Stowmarket’s free community festival is set to return in less than a month.

StowFiesta offers live music, family entertainment, food, and drink.

Organised by Stowmarket Town Council in partnership with Stowmarket Rugby Club, it takes place at Chilton Fields.

The festival was originally launched in 2007 as StowFest before evolving into the more family orientated StowFiesta in 2014.

With the event less than four weeks away, here’s what we know so far.

East Anglian Daily Times:

When is StowFiesta?

The free community event will be taking place on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26.

Visitors can head to Chilton Fields, on Chilton Way, between 1.30pm and 8.30pm to enjoy all the festival has to offer.

East Anglian Daily Times:

Who will be performing?

Only a handful of the solo acoustic artists performing have been announced so far, with more artists set to be confirmed soon.

Saturday will feature singer Ken and acoustic solo guitarist/singer Jax Deacon.

The following day, audiences can enjoy Jack Bishop, Australian rock artist ESSIE and Craig Lucas.

What food will there be?

Organiser Stowmarket Town Council has promised a huge array of food on offer.

Bagels from Bagel or Beigel, Greek gyros from Silverside Grill, macaroni and cheese from Pizza Rosso, pad thai from Real Thai Food in Hadleigh, and fully loaded fries are just some of the delicious treats to be enjoyed.

For those looking for something sweeter, there will be donuts, Mikey and Jordys Ice Cream, and much more.

Stowmarket Rugby Club will be running a bar including Pimms, while The Regal Stowmarket will be serving slushies.

East Anglian Daily Times:

What about some retail therapy?

For those looking to take a break from the music, there will be lots of local businesses at the event.

Keeping it Rosie will be offering handmade candles and wax melts; The Sentient Tree has crystals and alternative gifts for sale; and Daisy Spider jewellery can satisfy your love of all things shiny.

There will also be children’s toys on offer from Narla’s Treasure Trove and the Sweetie King will make an appearance.

What about entertaining the kids?

StowFiesta is aimed at families, so they’ll be plenty to keep the kids (and grown ups) entertained.

From circus equipment, inflatable human football tables and bungee trampolines, to face painting and snakes and ladders, it will be an action-packed weekend.
