Suffolk's superstar singer has appeared on a fence in Stowmarket, taking over from King Charles III in entertaining passers-by.

A life-size Ed Sheeran has been created out of newspaper, tin foil and masking tape, and has been placed on a fence in Stowmarket.

This is the latest creation from artist Sharon Kulesa, who has previously made Boris Johnson and King Charles III.

She said: "I wanted to put another person on my fence because I have built up a bit of an expectation now and people want to see who is next.

"The obvious choices are to do legends, and because Ed Sheeran is probably the most famous person to come from Suffolk, I thought I would do him.

"Everyone loves Ed, he's obviously a very well-known person."

Ed can be seen sitting on the fence, with his signature guitar, sporting a painted Ipswich Town shirt.

Mrs Kulesa continued: "He's been in the process for around two weeks as I had to collect different bits from everywhere.

"There's a bit more to him than other creations I have made."

The singer songwriter, who grew up in Framlingham, has been delighting people who have seen him since he was placed there.

Mrs Kulesa continued: "The reaction has been amazing.

"I haven't stopped smiling since seeing people's reaction to it.

"The only negative reaction I have had was from a Norwich fan, obviously not keen on the shirt he's wearing.

"People have been giving me suggestions as to who I should do next.

"It would be good to do something topical, so who knows, if Ipswich Town get promoted then there might be Kieran McKenna sitting on the fence.

"I like the idea of doing movie characters, maybe James Bond or Mary Poppins."

Ed is set to stay on the fence for a few months.
